CRP readings are particularly interesting to me because the meds I take reduce my cholestrol however my CRP reading of 10 is wellabove the recommended level.
I plan to have it checked soon to see if it is consistantly high.

Thank you for the info

This is really great information. I have found that there is a lot of misinformation on the internet about health issues therefore I appreciate your great content. I find that regular activity, such as running, is good for your health and will help you keep fit. Personally I love starting my day with some simple yoga exercises. This will even help keep you fit in the bedroom. The only other issue you have to be aware of is your sexual health. Especially the HPV Virus seems to be up and coming but an infection can easily be avoided if you have informed yourself about this subject. What does anyone else think on this?

The best way to keep up with near future treatment possibilities is to check clinicaltrials.gov from time to time.

The best way to get current info for best possible treatments is to make an appointment with a medical college specialist within a reasonable distance of travel.

Having said that, the near-term future for treatment seems to be a substantial reduction in mortality due to the more widespread use of the cocktail of drugs that includes the most recently discovered protease inhibitors. As for a vaccine, it is simply impossible to say for certain, but at this point an educated guess is that a vaccine is likely in the next five years that would provide protection for a substantial percentage of patients. However, a vaccine that has the efficacy of the polio or smallpox vaccines is just not on the horizon at this time. The best way to keep up with AIDS vaccine research is by searching the pubmed.com website.

It is quite scary that there is still no cure for HIV/AIDS and the only way we can fight it is by prevention. How long would it take our scientists to develop a cure or vaccine for this disease?
